Spring Edit 2022
🕤 4 min read
The warmer months are on their way! And with them comes the perfect opportunity to update your wardrobe. Each season welcomes new trends, and this spring brings something for everyone. From throwback low-rise jeans to futuristic neon co-ords, here is some inspiration straight from the runway.
Big and Blazin’
They are easy to wear, make even the most casual outfit look office-smart and now that oversized is in, you can steal your partner’s! Blazers have always been a favourite of mine to wear with dresses, jeans or matching suit trousers (when I am feeling extra fancy). Go for a structured evening look with shoulder pads or keep it relaxed with a pretty pastel colour.
Style with: 'Arlesey' Leather Clutch Bag to balance out the look.
Colour-Me-Pretty!
Bright and bold colours are back once again, this time lime green, hot pink and highlighter yellow are stealing the show! At least you won’t get lost in the crowds with this trend. Forget dress to impress, we are now dressing to suit our mood! Coined ‘dopamine dressing’, this new trend features an assortment of positively cheerful colours to uplift your day and give you that extra boost (check out our Pinterest board for more ideas)! Wear these loud colours in an on-trend coordinating suit, mismatched separates or dare to mix it up with loud prints.
For a touch of colour that looks great with every outfit, try our luxurious ‘Hue’ Cashmere and Merino Wool Neckerchief.
Romantic
We’re not talking about Spandau Ballet and the New Romantics here, but more Little House on the Prairie with feminine florals, flowing ankle-grazing skirts and puffball sleeves. You might have seen cottagecore and pearlcore trending on social media and the highstreets and that is the aesthetic for many of us this spring! Butter yellow, rose hues and maxi dresses reminiscent of your grandma’s curtains are all back to add a playful touch to the warmer days.
Style with: ‘Langdale’ Cashmere Blue Leather Cross Body Bag for a pop of pastel and our stunning 'Trina' Sterling Silver Freshwater Pearl Cluster Bangle to complete the pearl-fect outfit!
Y2K-Today
If you are a millennial like myself, you are likely thinking “I remember wearing that back in the 90s” and you wouldn’t be wrong! Some of us, Britney included, never got on board the high-waisted train and you will be happy to know that low-rise is back, baby! The low-rise jeans and halter-neck combo was a favourite of mine back in the day and I am excited to add something a little different to my denim and necklines this spring.
Style with: 'Rhian' Sterling Silver Hoop Earrings for that extra 90s vibe!
Bulky Bags
For the busy mums, the organised student or like me, the chaotic shopper. Bulky bags are in, and we are over the moon about it! The perfect oversized tote is not only practical but is the perfect finishing touch to every outfit.
Our ‘Milton’ tote bag is bang on trend with its spacious design and is available in three different colours, including the Pure Luxuries spring essential, ‘Misty Rose’, the versatile ‘Saddle Tan’ and the multi-seasonal ‘Smoky Blue’.
For Him…
These spring trends aren’t only for the ladies! In fact, blazers, colourful co-ords, Y2K and bulky bags are also popular with the guys this season. There are, however, a few newcomers just for the guys… skorts and shorts, sleeveless tops and inky-black tailored suits have all been spotted on the catwalks this season. But what is the biggest trend of them all? Wear whatever makes you happy and own it!
My fave spring buy for the guys: 'Excursion' Cocoa Leather Holdall - for all those spring trips we’ll be taking this season (and even better, it is currently 15% off)!
Whatever the trends are this season, your personal style will always be the winner in our books.
